Termicam

Termicam utilises the latest technology to detect termites in houses and buildings.

The integrated 'Thermal Throttle' allows the user to visualize warm areas easily by showing them as blue regions on the screen. The throttle makes tracking mud leads and nests over a large wall areas simple.

The palm sized unit is lightweight, durable and extremely simple to operate. The camera kit consists of two rechargeable batteries, a plug pack charger with AC and DC adapters, wrist strap, product orientation CD and a sturdy foam lined Pelican carry case.

Application Examples
The following images were taken in residential properties and demonstrate the effectiveness of the T4 Thermal camera in detecting nesting inside wall and ceiling cavities. Note that an active nest will appear brighter than the surrounding wall due to the heat generated by the termites. Inactive nests will generally appear darker due to the cold 'sink' nature of the mud pack.

Please Note: Thermal imaging is not a conclusive device as to if termites are present in walls of a building, it will register heat when large numbers of termites are present in wall cavities and will also define their moisture signature within walls, this will only be evident if termites are active in large numbers, it cannot detect single or small number of termites or termites that are behind reflective surfaces (such are tiles), or termites in solid brickwork or concrete block walls, or under concrete slabs, Thermal imaging is only an aid to visual inspections
